General Labor

Coast Precast is seeking full-time General Labor candidates for immediate hire. We are one of the largest manufactures of Precast Stair Treads in Texas. We are looking for people that have previous manufacturing or construction experience, but all training will be provided on the job. Previous concrete or forklift experience a plus, but not required. Perfect opportunity for people willing to learn new skills and work in a team and goal oriented environment. Must have reliable transportation. Need to have general knowledge of safety in a shop environment and ability to work with hand tools. There is room for advancement from this position, depending on displayed work ethic and desire to learn. You must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment in a covered, open shop. 40 hrs/week, $12-14/hr starting pay based on experience, paid weekly. Hours are 7:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m with a 1hr lunch, Monday through Friday (no weekends). 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete all assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, customers, clients, and management

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.)

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions

  • Correctly read a tape measure, and use basic hand tools

  • Safely and efficiently operate associated tools and equipment

  • Maintain quality of concrete products

  • Ability to lift 75lbs, bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Able to reach in all directions

  • Organize, count, strap, and package finished products for shipping, double checking always for quality and accuracy

  • Assist with preventive maintenance and daily clean-up of workspace
